Message from the General Chair -

The change of year has brought
us excitingly close to our much anticipated APEMC 2012 Symposium which
will be held during the Asia-Pacific EMC week from 21 to 24 May 2012 in
Singapore. The dedicated and hard-working Steering and Technical
Program Committees have now completed the paper selection process and
conceived the technical programme.
The response to our Call for
Papers has been most gratifying. In spite of the looming cloud of a
worldwide economic downturn we have received numerous proposals for
workshops and technical papers from 33 countries, confirming our claim
that the APEMC is not just a regional event but a truly global forum.
This year, APEMC will focus especially on emerging EMC fields such as
lower frequency EMC, including renewable energy EMC, smart power grid
EMC, three-dimensional integrated circuits and packaging EMC, topics
where we have experienced the highest increase in paper submissions
compared to previous conferences. The first day of the symposium will
feature twelve different workshops and tutorials, presented by over 30
prominent specialists, addressing various EMC topics relevant to
industry, academic research and progress in the state-of-the-art. The
subsequent three days will be filled with four parallel sessions of
technical paper presentations, an interactive forum, special sessions,
two topical meetings, and four invited plenary keynote presentations on
exciting avant-garde developments ranging from green electronics
through nanotechnology to intelligent energy networks of the future. At
the same time, delegates have access to the concurrent Industry
Exhibition and Forum.
In all we have received and
reviewed about 300 technical papers; decision notices have been issued
on Feb. 5, 2012. If you have submitted a paper to APEMC 2012 and not
received a decision e-mail, please contact at once the APEMC Symposium
Secretariat: emcsingapore@cma.com. The deadline for receipt of
your final paper submission, copyright form and author registration is
March 15, 2012.

Workshops and
Tutorials program will be ready soon!
The
APEMC 2012 Symposium has received an overwhelming response
for the proposals of workshops and tutorials. While the
Symposium
committee had a hard time to make the final selection of
the proposals, the delegates can expect a one-day high-quality
workshops and tutorials.
The
workshops and tutorials
will be arranged on the first-day of the symposium with four tracks.
They cover a variety of interesting and focused topics
in EMC related areas catered to the different needs of
researchers, engineers and students.
The
Symposium committee would like to take this opportunity to
thank all workshop and tutorial organizers and lecturers for their
great contribution to the Symposium.
